The Lamb's Inn, in the historic village of Blair.
The Inn was built as a stagecoach stop by John Lamb in 1837. Blair was perfectly situated between Galt and Preston while being adjacent to the Huron Road, which stretched from Guelph to Goderich.
Growing up in Cambridge during the '70s & '80s, I knew it as the rowdy watering hole, Nicholson's Tavern, before it transitioned briefly to a fine dining restaurant in the 1990's.

The former Hespeler Town Hall was built in 1914 in the Beaux Arts style.
The building, which still houses a firehall and the Hespeler Heritage Centre, also once included a police statio & jail along with municipal and other government offices.
The town hall became redundant when Hespeler merged with Galt and Preston to form the City of Cambridge in 1973 but is still a prominent part of Hespeler Village. It received a heritage designation in

Morris Lutz House, c. 1849 - Cambridge, ON
This 3-bay Georgian house, made of locally-sourced rubbled limestone, sits along the east bank of the Grand River on Water St.
The American-born Lutz arrived in Galt around 1844 and quickly established himself as a community leader in the new settlement. He became a part-owner of Galt's first foundry and was elected to Galt's first council when it became an incorporated village in 1850.
