German Wollen Mill Ruins Glen Morris Along the Cambridge – Paris Trail
Built in 1867, this stunning structure once thrived as a yarn and wool mill before later transforming into a hotel before being abandoned in the 1940s, all that remains today is the stone shell, now surrounded by wooded overgrowth
Today it is fenced in for safety with concern for the stability of the stone walls, you can still admire the ruins from the nearby trail, or if you know where to look from the roadside
Just one of the iconic structures in our area that serve as a reminded of our former status as a textile capital
