Crispy baked bean fries. Snack foods don't have to be boring. Ingredients 1 bag of frozen whole green beans (or about 4 cups fresh) ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated ½ tsp Garlic powdrr ¼ tsp Sea Salt ⅛ tsp Fresh Ground Pepped Directions Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil, and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange beans in a row, spray again. Bake until golden brown. Enjoy!

Mel's is an institution here in Woodstock. Fish and Chips done in a 1929 well seasond British Deep Fryer perfectly makes each fish and chip order taste like the last time. Located on Dundas Street downtown. Stop in the next time you're passing through on Highway #2.

Our Friday night out in Tofino at The Wolf in the Fog. The Alfa head of the pack Chef Nicholas Nutting and his cutting edge west coast cuisine awakens all the senses with his flavourful creations. I must say that the culinary adventure the chef and his team entertained us with was excalibur. The BC Ferries Vacations is he best way to explore the wild west coast. Life is Good.
The Wolf in the Fog Dining Theater is a stellar experience. 7

Vancouver Island BC Ferries Get Away. The Shady Rest. The food at this family run Eatery have some long time employees that have been rehearsing the service and recipes for decades. On each and every visit the food was exactly the same as the last visit. All hand made including the dessert baking, bread and buns. Consistently been this way since 1924. This was one of my best of 10 retro diners on Vancouver Island. https://shadyrest.ca/

Winnipeg River Gold Eye. Perfect for Easter. A nice wood smokey flavour with more oomph then smoked trout or salmon. A nice vibrant sunburst colour and such a yummy slow natural smoke texture that schmeck's with some fresh dill sour cream, crunchy pea shoots and of course some tasty Winnipeg Rye bread. Let's Eat!

Jim's Lunch. Highway #2 Princeton. 4 generations family run. My visit back to this retro diner was back in the 70's over 5 decades at least. Now its a weekly stop for a quick breakfast or lunch. The family run diner serves a first class breakfast and lunch. Went out for a date night with my fiance and we ended up at 13 in Downtown Galt. Tried this 'Dirty Bird' fried chicken sandwich and salad.
