Jim's Lunch. Highway #2 Princeton. 4 generations family run. My visit back to this retro diner was back in the 70's over 5 decades at least. Now its a weekly stop for a quick breakfast or lunch. The family run diner serves a first class breakfast and lunch. The well rehearsed staff have been satisfying the regular diners, addressing them by name and having social chats getting updated on their family status. I liked how we were first greeted and seated like a regular customer. The regulars also greeted us with a friendly nod and smile. The first time I stopped here was when it was still a Service Station diner and returning visit after a few decades sure brought back warm and fuzzy memories. The best thing is it looked the same and still is serving excellent home comfort cooking. The breakfasts are served with flat top grilled fried potatoes, farm fresh ingredients, excellent brewed coffee, tea and hand dipped milkshakes. For lunch I love the cooks daily soup which is always hot and delish. One of my entrees favourites is the roast hot turkey, steak on a bun, or their great retro burger deluxe with bacon and cheese. Save room for Jim's hand crafted baked in house mighty fine scratch made pies. The peach and the lemon meringue is worthy of a blue ribbon.
