The Preston Lawn Bowling Club in Cambridge, Ontario, is celebrating its 110th anniversary this year, according to the Waterloo Region Record. Founded in 1915, the club is the only lawn bowling facility in Cambridge. The club is thriving, with a growing membership that includes younger players. They are active in local and national competitions and are members of the Ontario Lawn Bowling Association.

Main Street in the Galt core held its first Latin on Main street dance . Running from 7 pm to 930 pm, the street was filled with music,dancing and many smiling people, both on the "dancefloor" and those sitting along the road or on outdoor patios. This event runs all summer. Check the BIA website for upcoming dates

Shiny Happy People
While not a resident of Cambridge this woman enjoys visiting the public gardens of Cambridge . This was at Galt Horticultural Society Ferguson Cottage

This past Thursday was the 42nd Annual Bernice Adams Legacy Awards named after former Galt and Regional councillor as well as artist.
Awards in six categories and the Heart of the Arts Awards were presented with the entertainment by a harp player and members of the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra

Likely the second most asked question that I get from visitors to the city is
"Where is Mill Race Park?"
Plenty were in the area today,checking out the sight lines from above the lower Riverwalk as well as from above.
Many gathered in the amphitheatre itself,either eating food fare from L.A Franks or bringing their own. Others say on the steps on the riverfront, reading,feeding the ducks,skipping stones or having conversation.
