The Railroad Foremans Car would transport the inspection officers to different freight yards making sure that the cattle cars and the frieght were secure and being handled properly.

Finding stuff to build your ride might of began at a scrap yard like Sammy Coopers or an Auto Parts Dealer like Brewers Auto. Back in the 60's most of us got a hand me down car that we worked on at high schools auto shop and later belonging to one of the local car clubs.

My first ride! Purchased from a Galt Car Club and Andy Sherman for 500 1968 bucks after a fresh paint and vinyl roof spray on coat. 62 Ford Galaxy 352 4 barrel 3 speed standard fox craft on the floor shifter. I was working part time at Firestone on Water street back then and Shorty Rivers put some oomph into the engine and new retread tires to do multi burn outs. The back seats were barely used by the original owner and became great for a nap. …
