Many of us remember days of our youth and the many times you would drive the Main Street Queens Square Loop just after polishing up the whip. Galt Preston Hespeler had a lot of car clubs and we had a large share of fast muscle cars. Did you do the loop in your ride?

Back in 69 Hespeler Road was home to the new Bennett Chev Olds Auto Show Room. Which one of these salespeople sold you your New Ride. Boris Dimetriv sold me my used 1959 Biscayne.

𝐖𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 1976 Sebring-Vanguard CitiCar 🧀🐭 Meet the 1976 Sebring-Vanguard CitiCar; a vehicle that looks like what would happen if you asked a cheese wedge to pretend it's a car. Born during the 1970s oil crisis, this electric oddball was essentially what you'd get if you crossed a golf cart with a doorstop. The brainchild of former Chrysler dealer Bob Beaumont, the CitiCar packed a "mighty" 6.5 horsepower …

The 1936 Tatra T77A was a significant step forward in aerodynamic car design, showcasing the company's innovative approach to automotive engineering. This model featured a longer wheelbase, a larger 3.4-liter V8 engine producing 75 horsepower, and a unique triple headlight arrangement. It also maintained the T77's advanced features like four-wheel independent suspension and extensive use of lightweight materials.

Ott's was the first garage I used growing up in Hespeler and had great mechanics. Bob Ott, Jim Walker, Dave Windover, Jerry Martin. Now Corey and Brandon's team have carried the century's old Ott's quality service, pride with integrity today. I must say that I am very pleased with my recent service visit and sure liked the way I was treated compared to the Dealership my Ford Escape was last in for repairs. Like Hespeler the Ott's Garage will …

The Chevrolet Camaro is one of few muscle cars of the '60s true gearheads would buy over a Mustang Boss 429. During its design and initial construction, the car was named Panther. The 1965 concept bore the Panther emblem and retained the name until just a few weeks before the car debuted. Chevy always intended to give its Mustang competitor a "C" name to conform to its Corvette, Chevelle, and Corvair models. It became one of the most iconic …

Finding stuff to build your ride might of began at a scrap yard like Sammy Coopers or an Auto Parts Dealer like Brewers Auto. Back in the 60's most of us got a hand me down car that we worked on at high schools auto shop and later belonging to one of the local car clubs.

My first ride! Purchased from a Galt Car Club and Andy Sherman for 500 1968 bucks after a fresh paint and vinyl roof spray on coat. 62 Ford Galaxy 352 4 barrel 3 speed standard fox craft on the floor shifter. I was working part time at Firestone on Water street back then and Shorty Rivers put some oomph into the engine and new retread tires to do multi burn outs. The back seats were barely used by the original owner and became great for a nap. …
