Our Last Next Door Neighbor decided to raise chickens with the city allowing two birds.
Recently a by-law was passed to allow some of the property owners with-in counties be able to have chickens for fresh eggs and use for urban friendly pest control being the free range creatures they are. Here is a neighbourhood Sussex Rooster out on patrol. Jabba the Hutt cat knows that this whily bird is not to be messed with. Better to just nap and watch. I will say one thing for sure is that they sure are territorial and are kind of neat to observe.
The creepy crawlies insects are noticeably fewer in numbers since The Colonel as my neighbor calls him has the grounds well patrolled.
